A nasty virus and the associated cleanup procedure can leave collateral damage that makes your computer very unreliable. Sometimes it is necessary to take a final back-up of your data, and then wipe the hard disk and re-install everything.This is not a quick process, and needs to be done with care if you are not to lose data.
